This term we have started to do art the art we have done is Eric Carle art work. Ever herd of the very hungry caterpillar? Well that the art work we did. Once we had done our art work we were asked to make poems here’s mine.
Ladybug

Kind, Podgy
Dot on a leaf
To heavy to fly
Blushing badly
She waddled away

Do you want to make the same art as we did I’ll show you.
1.grab about 6 pieces of paper and paint them any color you like.
2. When there dry put on another color(don’t do the full page just a splash) repeat.
3. Grab a big bit of paper.
4. Draw the thing that you like.
5. Cut it apart.
6. Sellotape the bits of pictures to the pieces of paper.
7. Cut. Do this to all of your cut up picture.
8. Get another big bit of paper and glue all of the painted pieces that you have cut out with the stencils.
9. There you are done

The beach is always a great place to spend a relaxing holiday. That’s the way our school spent our last week as a school before school holidays. Sounds relaxing right well at least that was what we thought before we got there. We did so many things that I forgot. I just remembered three of my favorite things we went & saw and ate. So here is my fav one. it all started on the last day of our school trip. We were all crazed about the last day partly because it was the school holidays tomorrow and we were going to a chocolate factory. When we went in the house that the chocolate factory was in. All other senses went to sleep. Ah the aroma was too good to believe. Then there in front of us was a chocolate door we knew it wasn’t real chocolate but still it looked good enough to eat. That didn’t outlive the chocolate wheel. All this delicious melted, creamy, dark chocolate getting churned around the wheel. the wheel spun around and around pulling dark chocolate along with it.

We went for dinner to a fish&chips shop. We got a tour of it. I know that sounds dumb but it was surprisingly cool We met Mr Yocke. He owns Ohiwa Oyster farm and he showed us around. First he showed us the sticks that the oysters are on. He showed us a oyster baby. Then we went inside his shed/building. He cracked some oysters and gave them to the adults. Then some children ate some.

Mataatua Marae was amazingly cool. We watched a slide show. It was to show to tell us why Mataatua marae is called moving marae. Then we went into the marae we watched a movie. It was screened on the very front wall. The movie was moving all over the carvings on the front wall. Then at the end we had to say our Pepehas( we had to introduce our selves.) when we were finaly done that we were alowed to look at all the carvings. it was cool.

Hypothesis: Apples faster grow mould faster than other fruits.

You will need: An apple, thre more fruits of your choice, dark room, camera (optional), note book and a pencil

Method:

1) Get a dark room. Layout the plastic wrap place the apple and the other three fruits on the wrap (make sure there is no sun light and they all get the same amount of air)

2) Leave them there for a week and a half. Take notes a everyday and photos (photos optional)

3) When you reach the final conclution write down the notes on a chart and prove what one has grown mould the fastest

4) Find different fruits to do the test. keep track of how the apple went.

This should be a fair test if all the items are in the same room, same amount of air, same amount of space and distance.
