The beach is always a great place to spend a relaxing holiday. That’s the way our school spent our last week as a school before school holidays. Sounds relaxing right well at least that was what we thought before we got there. We did so many things that I forgot. I just remembered three of my favorite things we went & saw and ate. So here is my fav one. it all started on the last day of our school trip. We were all crazed about the last day partly because it was the school holidays tomorrow and we were going to a chocolate factory. When we went in the house that the chocolate factory was in. All other senses went to sleep. Ah the aroma was too good to believe. Then there in front of us was a chocolate door we knew it wasn’t real chocolate but still it looked good enough to eat. That didn’t outlive the chocolate wheel. All this delicious melted, creamy, dark chocolate getting churned around the wheel. the wheel spun around and around pulling dark chocolate along with it.

We went for dinner to a fish&chips shop. We got a tour of it. I know that sounds dumb but it was surprisingly cool We met Mr Yocke. He owns Ohiwa Oyster farm and he showed us around. First he showed us the sticks that the oysters are on. He showed us a oyster baby. Then we went inside his shed/building. He cracked some oysters and gave them to the adults. Then some children ate some.

Mataatua Marae was amazingly cool. We watched a slide show. It was to show to tell us why Mataatua marae is called moving marae. Then we went into the marae we watched a movie. It was screened on the very front wall. The movie was moving all over the carvings on the front wall. Then at the end we had to say our Pepehas( we had to introduce our selves.) when we were finaly done that we were alowed to look at all the carvings. it was cool.
